Most free typing tests are casual speed games. A real typing exam test has to reproduce the conditions of an actual recruitment skill test — because those conditions are what trip candidates up on exam day. This tool does exactly that.
Exam features included
- Multiple durations — 1-minute, 5-minute, 10-minute and 15-minute tests, matching different exams.
- English and Hindi typing — practise Devanagari (Mangal/Inscript) exactly as court, SSC and state exams require.
- Paper-to-screen mode — the passage is hidden on screen (print it or open it on your phone), just like DSSSB, SSC and court exams that give the passage on paper.
- Screen-to-screen mode — the passage stays visible, for exams that show it on the monitor.
- Backspace-disabled exam mode — some exams lock the backspace key; you can practise with it off.
- WPM, KDPH and accuracy calculator — net and gross words per minute, key depressions per hour, and error percentage, calculated the way exams do.
- Government-exam presets — load the exact speed target and error rules of SSC, RRB, court, police and state exams in one click.
- Typing certificate — download your result as a certificate.
How WPM, KDPH and accuracy are calculated
Your gross WPM is total characters typed divided by 5, divided by minutes. Net WPM subtracts errors. KDPH (key depressions per hour) is the metric many government exams use — roughly WPM multiplied by 300. Accuracy is the percentage of correct keystrokes. This tool shows all of them live as you type.
