TypingTestExamThe SSC CGL DEST (Data Entry Speed Test) requires 2000 key depressions in 15 minutes — about 8000 key depressions per hour, or roughly 27–35 WPM depending on how it's counted. It is a qualifying test for posts like Tax Assistant.
The SSC CHSL typing test applies to LDC (Lower Division Clerk) and DEO (Data Entry Operator) posts. LDC requires typing speed of 35 WPM in English or 30 WPM in Hindi; DEO has its own data-entry speed requirement. Practise each above with the exact standard loaded.

How to prepare
Build to about 40 WPM in practice so the 35 WPM bar holds under exam pressure, focus on accuracy (errors cost you), and do full-length timed runs rather than short bursts.
