English QWERTY typing practice
Use a standard English QWERTY keyboard. Keep your index fingers on F and J, use all ten fingers, and return to the home row between keystrokes.
Choose Easy, Moderate or Hard passages, start a 1–30 minute practice test, and review WPM, accuracy and individual mistakes. Compare other online typing-test options or follow the typing-learning guide.
Common English typing mistakes
Most accuracy loss in English typing comes from a small set of repeat offenders: missed capitalization at sentence starts, autocorrect-trained habits that don't apply here, extra or missing spaces around punctuation, and fumbling the number row under time pressure. The mistake review after each test highlights exactly which of these is costing you the most, rather than just showing a single error count.
English typing tests appear in most SSC, railway, court and clerical recruitment exams, usually alongside or as an alternative to a Hindi option — check your specific exam's profile for which language and duration actually apply to your post.
Choose a five-minute typing test for guest practice, or a ten-minute typing test after free registration. Keep the same language and level when comparing attempts.
