After a fixed, controlled assessment, we compare each character you typed against what the passage actually asked for. A character only counts as "weak" if it appeared often enough and was mistyped often enough — a single isolated typo never flags a character, and common letters are judged by their error rate, not raw error count, so they aren't unfairly penalized just for appearing often.

Your baseline and final assessments use two different, approximately-equivalent passages — matched closely in length, punctuation density, and character coverage — rather than the exact same text. This avoids a memorization effect while keeping the comparison fair. We describe this as a controlled-equivalent assessment, not a claim of exact scientific equivalence.

Some mistakes happen more often around specific adjacent character pairs (for example, a particular pair of letters or a Devanagari conjunct) rather than any single character alone. We only flag a combination as weak when the evidence is strong enough — a single unlucky pair of typos never triggers this.

No — Typing Master Online uses rule-based analysis of your own typing data (character-level error rates, accuracy and speed thresholds), not a machine-learning or AI model. The recommendations are transparent and documented, not a black box.

English and Hindi (Unicode Devanagari) are fully supported at launch. Other languages will be added as the underlying diagnostic model is built out for them.
