Three things decide whether you qualify: gross speed, accuracy and the exam's error formula.
Gross WPM counts every word. Net WPM subtracts an error penalty. Exams that use net speed (like RRB) get the penalty applied automatically.
Error % = errors ÷ words typed. Wrong, missing and extra words are full mistakes; spelling, spacing and capitalization are half mistakes — the standard SSC convention.
You qualify only if you meet the speed AND stay within the error limit. Some exams also need a minimum word count, which we check too.
