TypingTestExamThe NBEMS (NBE) Junior Assistant recruitment — under the National Board of Examinations in Medical Sciences, Ministry of Health & Family Welfare — is a Central Government clerical post. The 2026 notification was released on 2 June 2026, with applications from 29 June to 20 July 2026 and the written exam tentatively on 5–6 September 2026.
Two-stage selection

The CBT covers Reasoning, General Awareness, Quantitative Aptitude and English. Minimum qualifying is 40% (SC/ST/PwBD/Ex-Servicemen) and 50% (others). About 5 candidates per vacancy (per category) are called for Stage II based on CBT merit.
The Computer Skill Test
Note: NBEMS also recruits Stenographers in the same drive. The advertisement lists 80 WPM shorthand and 30 WPM typing as eligibility requirements; the later Stage-II notice must confirm the actual test-day settings.
How to prepare
- Build typing to 35+ WPM so data-entry and word-processing tasks don't run out of time.
- Practise MS Word formatting and basic computer operation hands-on.
- Clear the CBT comfortably — only ~5x vacancies reach the skill test.
- Confirm the exact skill-test pattern from the official NBEMS notification (natboard.edu.in).
