TypingTestExamDSSSB Stenographer standards are not identical for every department. The practical usually combines shorthand dictation/transcription with a separate computer typing requirement.

Shorthand dictation is generally 10 minutes, and the separate typing test is also 10 minutes. Eligible PwBD candidates may receive 15 minutes for typing.
Accuracy note: DSSSB states that speed is judged with accuracy, but the latest instructions do not prescribe one universal numerical error percentage for every post.
The 2026 corrigendum permits prescribed Hindi font/layout combinations including Kruti Dev or Mangal with Remington Gail/Inscript, depending on the test configuration.
